Can you reproduce even with the new version on KDE 4.2 beta1 with the new MSN plugin???
Well, I would to help, but I'm not a "power user"... Is it easy to test ? Could you explain me how to do it ? I'd like to make clear that this crash doesn't occur every time I login with my MSN accounts, but randomly. I didn't find a way to reproduce it every time.
There are a lot of ways, the easier is to wait that your distribution update the packages to a new version. You can even try the live distro KDE 4 live: http://home.kde.org/~binner/kde-four-live/

I think my bug was a duplicate of this one : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138494, as I was able to login after removing my contactlist.xml.
