Description Frank James 2008-11-25 08:59:49 UTC
Version: 2.1.3 (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

One thing I think KGet could do with is multiple download speed buttons on the toolbar, like Downloader for X (Linux) and Free Download Manager (Windows) and many others have. That way people could regulate their downloading in case it is interfering with other web tasks. While one app I can think of has set values for those buttons, with the "Heavy" one being unrestricted bandwidth, it would be good if these 3 modes could be customised via the settings/preferences. That way if the "Light" mode is too low by default, it could be altered; similarly, if you want to restrict the heavy mode to just a bit under your full download speed, you could then alter the value.

Mmh, I think we should rather have a slider for regulating the Download-Speed, probably at the bottom of the MainWindow?
