Description doc.evans 2008-11-20 17:52:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The file KDE_Sys_Log_in_Short.ogg is a sequence of nine tones. When logging in, only the first four (approx) are played, and then the sound is abruptly cut off.

This leaves one with a rather poor impression, since it's essentially the first thing that happens when showing KDE to someone else.

(After logging in, if one goes to System Settings | Notifications | Applications | KDE System Notifications and plays the login file manually, it plays correctly. So that tells me that the file is OK and that the sound system is working OK.)

(This is on 64-bit intrepid).
