Version: (using KDE 4.1.3) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Please add a "Rotate 180 degrees" function to the View->Orientation menu. PDFs produced by sloppy scanning often have upside-down pages; it would be nice to be able to fix the view with a single command rather than rotating twice. Other PDF viewers, including the popular Acrobat Reader, have this feature.
> Other PDF viewers, including the popular Acrobat Reader, have this feature. - Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 has rotate clockwise and counter-clockwise - Evince has rotate left and rotate right - Xpdf has rotate clockwise and counter-clockwise which "PDF viewers" are you referring to? :)
Sorry, I misremembered. You are correct that Acrobat Reader doesn't rotate 180 degrees. I was thinking of gv and ghostview, which both have this feature.
I'd like to see this as well as a rotate left/right action to be available for mapping to a key. Sometimes a pdf file contains individual pages that need rotation or even a page that has a need for rotation during the presentation (to explain filesystem trees ;-) Of course there may be ways around this, but it would be a really nice feature, especially if it is implemented with fancy moving graphics :-) Cheers Simon
(In reply to comment #3) > a rotate left/right action to be available for mapping to a key. Settings -> Configure Shortcuts?
does that mean the feature is already there? Ah, I just tried the kde 4.1.3 version and I do see rotate left and right, but they don't work the way I meant; I would like to be _in presentation mode_ and press a key to rotate the current page 90/180/270 degrees, preferably in a smooth motion on the screen. I would also be happy if the rotation was stepless, with stops at 90/180/270 degrees... So my comment was about presentation mode for the current page, not the entire document. Cheers Simon
Simon hijacked a bug, that's bad. Anyway i'm closing this bug as we are not going to implement a rotate 180 degrees in the regular view more. Thans for caring to report this wish but unfortunately your opinions do not align with the ones of the Okular developers. Simon as your comment is about a different thing you might want to open a new wish. Thanks to all
