Version: (using KDE 4.1.3) Installed from: SuSE RPMs remove decorative info panes The reasons: a) they are not informative at all b) they don't help in anything c) they are purely decorative element d) they are redundant element (of titlebar) e) they take space ad.e) it is a major drawback for the netbooks users (screen height 600 pixels!) and yet the space is taken by this decoration (it is always visible) instead of actual content Take a little tour for yourself (in quotes, info panes titles): keyboard & mouse: mouse --> "mouse settings" keyboard & mouse: keyboard --> "keyboard settings" dektop: desktop effects --> "configure desktop effects" It is just duplicating titles (we are in the system settings, and it is for configuring, and the module has already label and big icon), besides there is already place for that kind of labeling -- it is titlebar. Please use it, and remove this redundant widget. All netbooks users (and not only) will be grateful, thank you.
Created attachment 28657 [details] screenshot. Do you mean this?
It seems that some modules has a nice explanation, others doesn't.
Yes, this one. But the thing is they explain (if they explain, I didn't fine one) always. It is purpose of help. So the cost of this "information" is very high.
The presence of this element is required by upstream KDE Libs classes, and is shown the same in Dolphin's configuration dialog ( or anything that uses KConfigDialog, including Plasma ) Therefore, in order to appear the same as these applications, this will not occur.
