Hello,

Since I use openSUSE 11.0 with KDE 3.5.9 DVD burning of ISO images of openSUSE results in the above mentioned error;

Internal error Verification job not properly initialized. (Specified track number not found on medium)

I can use the burned DVD normally. Burning speed 8x

Bug confirmation: k3b 1.0.5, KDE 3.5.10, OpenSUSE 11.0 x86_64.
I get

Manual verification shows the burn was OK. After burning the 11.1 DVD, I used the following command, which had an exit code of zero (ie: no differences):

cmp --bytes=$(du -b openSUSE-11.1-DVD-x86_64.iso|cut -f1) /dev/scd0 openSUSE-11.1-DVD-x86_64.iso

The Novell bug list has an entry for this:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=420572

The problem is not limited to SUSE. Here's the Debian entry:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=503402

Apparently, I have an inability to complete sentences! :-)

I get the same error as Frans.

I get the same error under Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex. See also #184155, which is probably a duplicate.

In an attempt to clean up old bugs that are not valid for K3b 2.0 (=KDE SC 4.x port) anymore, this is now being marked as UNMAINTAINED.
If this bug is still valid for 2.0, please reopen it.
