Description Erik Martens 2008-11-13 00:31:01 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

After the most recent update of today (perhaps yesterday), stating November 12 2008, using KDE 4.1.2 on a T61, I do experience complete keyboard lockups where many keys simply do not work. However, switching to TTY using ctrl+alt+f5 works and switch back to KDE's terminal makes the keyboard responsive again, but only remedies the situation at times. The mouse is still working normally.

Unfortunately, this happens spontaneously, and I do not know how to reproduce this problem. Since I can still switch terminals, it appears that KDE is stuck in some loop, but waiting for half a minute didn't help much, so I always tried to press ctrl+alt+f5 before

I've also had this problem in KDE 4.1.2, but not in 4.1.3. You may want to try upgrading your version to the latest to see if that helps.

Any news on this?
@Erik: have you tested KDE4.1.3 or any 4.2version ?
