Version: 1.10.3 (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-gentoo When I do not want to encrypt a mail with GPG, but I enabled the "always encrypt if possible" option for this address, a dialog pops up and asks which keys I want to use (locally and for the foreign address). When I disable both keys (which is the only way not to encrypt) and press ok, another dialog appears, asking if I really want no local key, as I will not be able to read this email later. When I click "Send encrypted" (or else, I'm using the german version), there is another dialog in which I can send the mail unencrypted. This is confusing... if the mail is not encrypted for the recipient, this "Do you really want no local key"-Dialog should not appear. Or there should be an easier way to not encrypt this single mail without changing the encryption option for this contact. I hope, you know what I mean.
Confirmed, I've suffered this problem doing tests in kmail 1.10.90 (svn trunk 882080).
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
