Version: 0.60.3 (using KDE 4.1.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I told kopete no to the kwallet request, it then pummeled me with requests for passwords for all of my IM accounts.. (I was playing with vim control keys and must have found one that opens kopete) It then did it over, and over, and over, and over again. in a matter of seconds the taskbar pannel had many password requests just a few pixels wide and the system was sluggish. Then the taskbar went blank. This is a multifaceted bug, the taskbar should complain gracefully, and of course kopete shouldn't keep trying to connect over and over and over again... (I have no idea what control combination I hit.. but in general a user should be able to hold down keys and the computer shouldn't crash) -- so even if I did do a key repeat of a command, this program should flush or lock, or do something with it's input buffers to make it so this type of thing doesn't happen.
The KWallet handling code has been reworked in a later version of Kopete. I can't remember if it was KDE 4.2 or KDE 4.3. Could you please try KDE 4.3 (Kopete version is 0.70.90) and try again to make sure it's fixed? If it's not fixed, please reopen this bug. Thanks!
