Unfortunately you are unable to display the Desktop folder in folder view under Windows.

I add a Folder View gadget to plasma (it will default to my own home directory) then open the Folder View Settings then select "Show desktop folder" instead of custom one. Then when I press OK, I get an error window telling me that Couldn't open URL: desktop:/

Oh and despite of the Version line, I use KDE 4.1.3, not 2, just there is no 4.1.3 in the bugzilla yet.
