I have many ftp folders in remote:/ and I very often use ftp connections. Now it stopper working - every time i try to connect to any ftp via konqueror or dolphin i get "internal error report this to..."
I am using kde 4.1 on kubuntu, everything installed straight from repositories.

Source of the problem is that I use ftp connections in active mode.

When I changed the setting back to "use passive mode" in system settings ftp connections are working as expected.

FTP in active mode does not work via kio_ftp in KDE 4.1.3. release 4.9 on openSUSE 11.1 i586.  Passive mode works.

Cannot duplicate. Disabling passive mode and connecting to say ftp.kde.org works fine for me from both Dolphin and Konqueror. Is this still an issue in the recent versions of KDE for any of you ?

See comment #2. Feel free to reopen if problem persists in the most recent release of KDE (4.6 as of this reply).
