desktop context menu: keep the common parts all the time (regardless desktop type)

A bug?

desktop -> RMB -> desktop settings -> desktop type -> folder view -> accept/OK -> desktop -> RMB -> ... oh, no desktop settings, how can I get change the desktop type?

OK, I found out the way, but this is bad UI -- switching some option should be reversible and present in the same place.

@Maciej: in current svn builds. The option "Desktop Settings" in RMB has been renamed to "Appearance Settings", and it's present both in the "Desktop Mode" (plasmoids floating around) and "Folderview Mode" (""classic icons on desktop"").

I suppose this wishlist should be enhanced to show also the "Run Command"/"Lock/Logout" (and maybe "Add Widgets"/"Add Panels" too) when using "Folderview Mode" as Desktop Type.

I agree. The entire context menu from the activity "Desktop" should be contained in the context menu of the activity "Folder View", preferably without changes to naming or sorting order of items, but just appended after a separator.

Yes, that would be a cool idea. In addition, I suggest adding the "Add Panel" button to the cashew menu as it would make perfectly sense there, next to the "Add Widget" one.
