Description Caleb Cushing 2008-10-30 05:06:51 UTC
Version: 0.60.2 (using KDE 4.1.2)
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

although I can't see them on my end... even quoted apparently... they are seen in yahoo's proprietary interface

xenoterracide:
yeah but I never do it

interesting note... the first few messages of the conversation didn't have them... it could be cause by a specific setting, as I'm just setting up this system.

.kde4.1/share/config/kopeterc

since I think it might be a config option here's my main kopete configuration.

I tried to replicate this. I am also using 4.1.2, I'm in openSUSE 11.0. Couldn't replicate, replace worked fine following instructions.

Comment 5 Caleb Cushing 2008-11-14 03:07:13 UTC
ok... I've just been informed the problem does still exist, by the person who originally reported it. (I can't see it because it's on the receiving end)
Comment 6 Caleb Cushing 2008-11-14 03:15:00 UTC
90% sure it's configuration as I didn't see it when I first tested 0.60.3 but now I do. something different in my config from the default config.
Comment 7 Matt Casters 2008-11-25 14:52:32 UTC
Also over here on 0.60.3, KDE 4.1.3 (Kubuntu 8.10).
Tried every possible option I could click on, it's still there.
Comment 8 Juan Carlos Garrido 2008-12-01 20:09:06 UTC
I see the same behaviour using kopete 0.60.3 and KDE 4.1.3 from Fedora.
Comment 9 Caleb Cushing 2008-12-02 01:16:34 UTC
votes can be used to confirm the bug... not that I'm sure that will draw more attention to it.

There is a patch in the downstream bug report that claims to fix this: https://launchpad.net/bugs/283495
I haven't had time (nor a yahoo account) to test this personally.
Comment 12 Vlad Lungeanu 2009-01-08 17:04:25 UTC
For me, the bug appears when I disable the rich text for outgoing messages (in the Chat window, Format menu, unselect Enable Rich Text).

My system: Kubuntu 8.10 (Kopete 0.60.81, KDE 4.2 Beta2)
