Description Adam Spiers 2008-10-27 10:40:07 UTC
Version: 4.1.0 (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

When I'm in day or week view, if I type a key which is an unbound letter such as 'a', it automatically launches the new event dialog and prepopulates the Title field with that letter. This didn't happen with korganizer 3.5.x and is not the behaviour I want, but I could live with it if it wasn't for two additional problems:

  1. If I'm in week view and I press 'd' for day view, it will switch to day view *and* launch the new event dialog *and* populate Title with 'd', as if I'd pressed it twice. Similarly for being in day view and pressing 'w' - will switch to week view and launch the dialog

  2. It's inconsistent - if I'm already in day view and press 'd', it launches the new event dialog but doesn't populate Title with anything.

This is different to bug #154682 where the user had already selected a time range before typing the name of the new event.

Is it related to bug #169197 ?

Please see also bug #173659 which I submitted - ideally I want to be able to bind any letter of the alphabet but still have unbound keys do nothing (i.e. *not* launch the new event dialog at all).
