Version:           kaffeine  (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Mandriva RPMs

all other types of the lifeview dvb cards are present in the configuration except for the dvb-s

I have kde version 4.1.2

Do you mean that kaffeine cannot identify it, or it is not identified by any program? Does it work using another program? If not, then this is a video4linux bug (or missing driver), not a kde bug.

May not be a KDE bug, anyway moved to kaffeine
