Description Andrew T. 2008-10-15 13:15:47 UTC
Version: 4.2 DEVEL (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

When you try to resize the calculator, you cant resize it the way you want. You can resize it vertically or horizontally. had this problem in KDE 4.1.1, KDE 4.1.2 and now KDE 4.2
Comment 1 Paweł Prażak 2008-10-15 18:11:36 UTC
I can't confirm this on openSuSE 11 / KDE 4.1.2, applet resizes well from very small to huge and in any other possible way.
Comment 2 Andrew T. 2008-10-16 13:11:28 UTC
"You can resize it vertically or horizontally."

I meant you CAN'T resize it vertically or horizontally. Also, resizing widgets isn't smooth. Sometimes you have to pull the resize icon twice the size of the plasmoid before the plasmoid actually start resizing.
Comment 3 Paweł Prażak 2008-10-16 17:02:43 UTC
On my KDE it works well and smooth, so it could be a distro/platform specific issue (just guessing). We need more feedback from different users. You can provide some more info about your system, it will be useful. (distro, compiler, qt's version, etc.)

Assuming that the above fix was supposed to be resolving bug 175696
Comment 6 Marco Martin 2008-11-24 23:44:35 UTC
Jonathan: oops, yes, indeed :p
anyways it's possible to resize just horizontally or vertically by keeping control pressed while resizing.
Comment 7 Aaron J. Seigo 2008-11-28 00:42:00 UTC
yes, it make sense for this one to keep its aspect ratio unless overridden by the user.
