Description Anders Lund 2008-10-13 11:55:09 UTC
Version: ukendt (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-16-generic

The folder I tried to copy (to make a backup of my website) cotains another folder, and dolphin, or kio or whatever it is, just says it is a folder and that it expected a file. Broken.
Comment 1 Anders Lund 2008-10-13 12:24:15 UTC
The folder that is supposed to be a file is named 'alweb.dk' - it wouldn't be that kde expects something with an extension to be a file rather than a folder?
Comment 2 David Faure 2008-10-13 15:45:07 UTC
Hmm, shouldn't happen indeed.
Is this a known extension on your system? (check with "kmimetypefinder foo.dk")
Comment 3 David Faure 2008-10-13 20:10:30 UTC
BTW, I can't reproduce this -- I even tried with a foo.txt server, copying it worked fine.

Please retest copying that directory, and provide a kio_ftp debug log (from ~/.xsession-errors).

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
