Version: ukendt (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-16-generic The folder I tried to copy (to make a backup of my website) cotains another folder, and dolphin, or kio or whatever it is, just says it is a folder and that it expected a file. Broken.
The folder that is supposed to be a file is named 'alweb.dk' - it wouldn't be that kde expects something with an extension to be a file rather than a folder?
Hmm, shouldn't happen indeed. Is this a known extension on your system? (check with "kmimetypefinder foo.dk")
BTW, I can't reproduce this -- I even tried with a foo.txt server, copying it worked fine. Please retest copying that directory, and provide a kio_ftp debug log (from ~/.xsession-errors).
Hi, kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years. KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug. If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue. We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.
