Purely UI feature, the basics are already there (DUChain).

Hold control and hover over an identifier. A hyperlink (underline) appears, click and you get to the definition.

Alt- ->  ,  Alt- <- (arrows) take you forward/backward in your navigation. Hugely useful for large codebases.

This is a nice feature that I'd like to have in KDevelop in near future. It requires support from kate though. I'm busy with making the many already available features reliable though. So if you like to help doing it, drop a line and I can guide you. :)
