Description Szokovacs Robert 2008-10-08 12:36:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Are there plans to add these features from kde3 to the digital clock applet:

- multiple timezones in the tooltip
- fuzzy display
- jump to the system clock configuration from the kde-clock menu
?

- multiple time zones is done in trunk, so it's for 4.2
You can set another time zone as your default time.

- there is a fuzzy clock (which also supports the multiple time zones)

- jump to system clock config from any KDE clock: what would be the use-case for that? Please describe how many times you would do that and why, thanks.

I would not use it that many time, of course, but that's beside the point, I think it's just good UI in principle the way it's done in kde-3, the user clicks on the clock and in the menu she can find an item to set the clock.

I asked our usabily expert and she agrees with you. Having a way to access the time setting directly would be good.

I'll note that down so we can decide how it would be best done in all clocks.
