Version: (using KDE 3.5.10) OS: Other One use case I often have for a multi-desktop environment is the following: I've lost a window that I want to refer to: it's somewhere else in one of the many virtual desktops that I use. I use the "show window list" task bar button to hunt about for the window. The reason I'm hunting about for it is that it's pertinent to something else I'm doing in another window, so what I want is both windows on the same virtual desktop. In the current situation, I have to select the window I was looking for, being flipped to the desktop it currently resides on, and then assign it back to the desktop that I just came from, then head back to that desktop again. What would be totally awesome would be if the "show window list" task bar button could allow me to right-click a window entry in the list, and select "bring here", and perhaps even a full "to desktop" menu. Cheers, Richard
No new features for KDE3. For KDE4, the KWindowListMenu class in in workspace libs, but doesn't appear to be used by anything -> up to Plasma people to handle this or to drop it.
@Richard: The task bar in KDE 4 allows to move a window to the current virtual desktop or to a specific virtual desktop.
there is no such "show windows" widget in plasma, but the taskbar does implement this already.
