Description Bernd Paysan 2008-10-05 20:58:35 UTC
Version: KNode 0.99.01 (using KDE 4.1.2)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.1
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

KNode's editor does automatic linebreaks fine, but when sending the message, an alert box pops up telling that there are lines over 80 characters long, and if you like to wish to edit the message again. It shows up with correct linebreaks when editing again, but when posting, all paragraphs are indeed only one line long.

Looks like the line breaking doesn't get saved into the file. Correct linebreaking for Usenet posts is a netiquette issue, so this is IMHO an important bug (should also be easy to fix).

Yes, me too, 4.1.2 on Kubuntu Intrepid beta.
Comment 2 Bernd Paysan 2008-11-29 21:15:26 UTC
Still happens in KDE 4.2 Beta 1 (same Knode version). Does anybody read these bug reports?

I tried with the current 4.2 release, and it seems to be fixed (SuSE RPMs).
