Version: (using KDE 4.1.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages There are currently two options for the system tray icon: showing it always or just when there are unread messages. I would like the icon to be showed always but without the number of unread messages. In this way, I (and I guess many more) will not be opening KMail's window every time there is a new mail, but it can remain in the background.
