Description Luiz Angelo De Luca 2008-09-28 00:11:14 UTC
Version:           desconhecido (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1 >= 20080828)) "release 52.2", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25.16-0.1-default

I cannot move a plasmoid from main screen to the second one (left of the main, not right). However, when I scroll a plasmoid to the other board (right of the main screen), I can see the overlaped part in the left of my left screen! It seems plasma consider it as:

Main | Secondary

When It is trully:

Secondary | Main

My secondary is a 15' rotated left. I'm using nvidia drivers with xinerama that also disables randr (no twinview support for rotated screens nor randr 1.2 in nvidia drivers)

My X config is working. I can scroll windows and mouse without problems. Just plasma seems to be strange.

On current trunk I'm able to move plasmoids between primary and secondary monitor (with nvidia twinview, nvidia drivers 180.44, xorg 1.6.1, qt 4.5.0, trunk r961118).

@Luiz: can you still reproduce this bug, or we can close it ?
Thanks,
Comment 3 Luiz Angelo De Luca 2009-05-20 22:11:36 UTC
Yes, this is still present.

If I use Main/secondary screen setup, a plasmoid can shows part of it in main screen and part of it in secondary screen. However, this does not work if I use Secondary/Main setup, with secondary screen left of main one.

@Luiz: on which version did you reproduced it? Can you reproduce even on KDE 4.3?

Thanks!
Comment 5 Luiz Angelo De Luca 2009-08-10 19:24:30 UTC
This is still present.
I took a snapshot the show my problem.

I have two problems with multihead:

1) Plasmoids cannot be across the screen (snapshot shows this better). After I put it as in snapshot, 1 second after I mouse out the plasmoid, It goes to the left to fit complelety on my left monitor.

2) I cannot drag/drop smoothly from one monitor to another. After I cross the screen (i.e. from right to left), I loose the drag and plasmoid goes instantaneosly to the left monitor.

These two problems seems to be related as the "fit complelety on my left monitor" and "goes instantaneosly to the left monitor" have similar behavior.

Plasmoids can be dragged from one screen to the other. Please reopen a bugreport if needed for the other bugs mentioned here. (some are already reported, so check first here https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?product=plasma&component=multiscreen&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_severity=normal )
