I remember this bug, I had it too. I don't know/remember who/what/where/when fixed it, but all I know is that this is fixed in KDE 4.1.x, so, please, upgrade to a more recent kde version (latest is 4.1.1 right now) and see if that bug persists. Thank you.

PS: Also, when you are reporting crashes, you should paste a backtrace of the crash as seen in the kcrash dialog. I don't think that will be needed here, though, as this bug is actually fixed.

Closing. Works for me and there is no response from the reporter for more than one month.
