Description Christopher D. Stover 2008-09-25 00:12:37 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

First, looking at the Phonon website they suggested I submit a wishlist to incorporate my audio hardware into the database. Here's the output of the script from their webpage:
[Chris@localhost Download]$ sh soundcardinfo.sh
/proc/asound/cards:
 0 [Camera ]: USB-Audio - Camera
                      Camera at usb-0000:00:1d.3-1, full speed
 1 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA Intel at 0xfe500000 irq 16
 2 [default ]: USB-Audio - C-Media USB Headphone Set
C-Media USB Headphone Set at usb-0000:00:1d.1-2, full speed

/proc/asound/pcm:
00-00: USB Audio : USB Audio : capture 1
01-02: ALC880 Analog : ALC880 Analog : capture 2
01-01: ALC880 Digital : ALC880 Digital : playback 1
01-00: ALC880 Analog : ALC880 Analog : playback 1 : capture 1
02-00: USB Audio : USB Audio : playback 1 : capture 1

Second, I'm trying to use the program uniXM, which can be found on SourceForge, http://sourceforge.net/projects/unixm. The program is supposed to allow me to connect to XM radio and listen to stations. It requires QT 4.4 and Phonon. I was able to get uniXM to compile and run but when I try to listen to a station I get this:
virtual bool Phonon::Gstreamer::AudioOutput::setOutputDevice(const Phonon::AudioOutputDevice&) "default"

Please let me know if there's any more information you need from me or anything I can do.

Christopher, you should make a separate report for the second item, those are not related at all.
Pushing this to the wishlist.
