Description Kevin Murche 2008-09-14 19:12:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

This problem was found in Kubuntu Kernel 2.6.27-2 KDE4.1.1 64 bit and has already been reported in Ubuntu Launchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/kdebase/+bug/270144
Saved a picture of the desktop to /Home/Desktop directory. Using Kicker menu went to Recent Used tab and selected the Error snapshot file. The following error is displayed - 'Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder file:///home/kevin/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments/Error.desktop.lock does not exist', window titled Error - Plasma Workspace (see original bug report for a picture) and whole desktop is greyed out until OK is selected.
Harald Sitter has confirmed this is reproducable.

I can confirm this.

Have anyone experienced this bug again with a recent KDE version ( 4.1.3 / 4.2beta1 / 4.2svn)? Thanks :)
