Version: (using KDE 4.1.0) Compiler: MSVC Binaries Supplied by KDE Win Installer 0.9.3-1 OS: MS Windows Installed from: MS Windows Kmail fails to launch after finishing the initial Setup Wizard. The wizard ran fine and I entered the required incoming and outgoing server URI and my name and the rest of the information. After the wizard finished, KWallet started, asking me if I wanted it to manage my passwords, I clicked on "Cancel". Then KMail asked me whether to store the password in its config file or not, to which I responded positively, giving KMail the responsibility to store the password in its config file. Then nothing happened, KMail failed to launch. Kmail binary supplied by KDE Win Installer 0.9.3-1, running KDE 4.1.0
Thanks for reporting this bug. The version of KMail you're reporting on is outdated now. The current version for Windows is supplied by kdab/Kolab and available under: https://wiki.kolab.org/index.php/Kontact_for_Windows_(beta-huge-debug) The KDE on Windows project currently doesn't provide builds for the KDE Pim module. I'm marking the bug as invalid because the project is currently maintained outside of KDE. Please currently report any bugs KMail/Windows bugs directly to the Kolab project.
