Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)

Hi there,

i just tried the Xorg 7.4 packages from my distribution (Arch Linux) and everything works just fine (the logout effect is working properly without composite now for example :D), but there is one thing that does not work: The icons in the System Tray are not drawn anymore.

This is a bit different to Bug 168007 because the icons never show - even if i try to re-add the applet. I can just see some black boxes here, where the icons should be (barely visible in the screenshot i'll attach)... Also the "move" symbol for moving plasmoid inside the panel appears behind these black boxes.

For completeness, here are the new Xorg packages i have installed:

inputproto 1.4.4
libdrm 2.3.1
libgl 7.1
intel-dri 7.1
libxau 1.0.4
xcb-proto 1.2
libxcb 1.1.90.1
libx11 1.1.5
libxklavier 3.7
mesa 7.1
pixman 0.11.8 (also tried with 0.11.10, but that gives some generic funky rendering errors, known bug)
libpciaccess 0.10.3
xf86-video-intel 2.4.2
xorg-server 1.5.0

I already tried the following things:

- enabled/disabled composite
- switched from intel to vesa driver
- recompiled kdebase-workspace against new Xorg
- tried to enable/disable the quasi-transparency patch for the systray that can be found on the plasma-ML

Downgrading all packages back to Xorg 7.3 solves this issue, even with the workspace package compiled against Xorg 7.4...

HTH and Greetings

Jan
