Description Kev 2008-09-07 16:04:10 UTC
Version: 2.10.999 (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

I was trying to copy a file into an archive but I received an error that the file existed, so I deleted the file in the archive and added the updated file that I was trying to add before. I then went to close the program and received a crash error.

If you can reproduce the crash at will in a recent KDE (4.1.3 /4.2beta2 /4.2svn) , can you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks :)

This is the first time I'm doing this so I hope I'm doing it right.

Ark crashed when I dragged and dropped a folder from Rox file manager into the open Ark window.

System: Mandriva 2009.0, kernel 2.6.27.7-1-desktop-1mnb, KDE 4.1.3 Ark 2.11.999, IceWm and Rox File Manager. Here is the crash report from Ark

Comment 3 Dario Andres 2009-01-25 13:24:27 UTC
It looks like it crashed in a different way....
Anyways, in two days KDE4.2 final will be released... and the Ark in that version is really improved (Ark for KDE4.1 was buggy). A big part of the code changed.
Let wait for that and check again if you experience this in KDE4.2
Comment 4 Raphael Kubo da Costa 2009-04-08 03:12:21 UTC
Can you please confirm if this still happens with KDE4.2.2?
Comment 5 Raphael Kubo da Costa 2009-04-11 05:27:43 UTC
First: there are two separate bug reports here, both of which seem to have been fixed in 4.2 or trunk.

Closing as FIXED. If you are still able to reproduce it with 4.2.2+, please reopen.
