Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-09-07 09:45:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

after update to KDE4.1.1 I cannot start KDE as a regular user

I updated KDE4.1.0 to KDE4.1.1 the same way I updated KDE3.5.9 to KDE4.1.0.

Now (with KDE4.1.1) I cannot start KDE session for me (as regular user). No matter if it is via kdm or via console and then startx. The screen blinks, there is busy cursor shown for a second, and then I am back to kdm or console. X.log shows only one error about missing mouse.

BUT, I can switch to console, log in as root, enter
startx
and voila, KDE starts perfectly well.

Sorry, but user requests go to an user support channel, not to the KDE bug tracking system.
