Version:            (using KDE 3.5.10)

I want a single tab split into an upper half with scroll bar and a lower half that always follows output.

So I can follow new text while reading backlog of output.

Hello,

Thank-you for your report.  Konsole in KDE 4 has a split-view feature which can be used to do this.
