Description Johannes Tiemer 2008-09-01 14:19:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

with the coming integration of nepomuk into KDE4, i would like to propose a usability-item:

"DirectTag"

As soon as To-Do items and Notes in Kontact are created, there should be an easy way to tag them with nepomuk-compliant tags right at the time of creation.
The current way of categorizing To-Do items in KOrganizer is time consuming, unintuitive, and not really useful, while there is no possibility to tag notes yet.
ways to implement:
- offer a tagcloud at time of creation of to-do-items/notes
- offer a enter-a-tag line at time of creation of to-do-items/notes
- offer a tagcloud in the kontact interface to filter for relevant items

tagcloud in my imagination refers to any way of displaying the 5-10 most common tags used.

Hi there, this bug has been identified to be related to nepomuk, the semantic searching system in prior versions of KDE. Please note that nepomuk has been replaced by Baloo. I'm going to close this bug due to the use of the new Baloo system. Please do file a new bug for frameworks-baloo if you happen to continue having issues with search.
