Description Johannes Tiemer 2008-09-01 13:51:30 UTC
Version: any future version/implementation (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

with the coming integration of nepomuk into KDE4, i would like to propose a usability-item:
seeing that nepomuk introduces the semantic desktop paradigma, it should be enabled with maximum usability right from the beginning.
my proposal:
the file-save dialogue and any other similar dialogue should include a possibility to assign tags to files directly at the time they are created/saved on the system.
it would make using nepomuk much smoother than if you had to tag-files separately in $filemanager_with_nepomuk_support.

additionally, this 'DirectTag'-approach should be applied to any file-create thingie like KNotes and KOrganizer (i'll file separate reports for those)

please move this bug to "kde general/usability"
i have no idea how it ended up being assigned to "kchart"

Moved to nepomuk, even if it is a kdelibs thing, I think it will get more love there.
