Description Pal Körössy 2008-08-27 01:07:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

User1 is logged on my machine, then user2 logs in using 'Starting a new session' on the K-menu. Switching back to console7 using <Ctr+Alt+F7> keys I get only a black screen with a movable mouse pointer. I get the same result switching even to console1. Pressing <Ctr+Alt+F8> I can switch back to console8 and use the new session. This problem only occurs if both users choose KDE3. If user1 chooses KDE4 and user2 chooses KDE3, everything is ok, I can change between X-sessions without any problem.

Can you update both your KDE version?
Comment 2 Pal Körössy 2009-01-25 09:24:55 UTC
I've installed OpenSUSE 11.1 on the same machine and now I can scwitch between different KDE sessions. It should have been some SUSE specific issue, I've also updated both KDE version on 11.0 and the problem still persists there.
It seems that I haven't received your previous message through the system, should I add me also to the CC-list next time?
