Version: (using KDE 4.1.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Not sure if this is a bug or a wish as I can find no documentation for the Comic Strip plasmoid. Since this is supposed to be a daily strip, it would seem that it should transition on its own to the next day when the day changes on my machine. I simply lock my machine each night before going home and when I come back the same strip is up on the screen. I have to remove the plasmoid, readd it with another comic loaded, then change it back to my preferred comic to get it to load the new day. At the very least the arrow to the right should reappear when the day the comic was pulled changes so I have the option to move to the next day. Additionally, when it is unable to load a day, it should not cache the broken day as a blank page, it should attempt to reload it next time I flip to that day. I have several blanks in my cached history which is somewhat annoying.
Hej, should be fixed in current trunk version. Ciao, Tobias
Did your fix make it into KDE 4.2.0? If so, I think this bug should be reopened. I am experiencing it with KDE 4.2.0 (from openSUSE 11.1 RPMs). When I configure the Comic Strip plasmoid to display the Dilbert strip, it fetches and displays the strip for the current day. However, the strip never gets updated, even though I leave my computer on 24 hours a day. It's only if I log out of KDE and back in again that the newest comic strip is fetched.
Confirming bug still exists in KDE 4.2.2. Can this bug please be reopened?
