Description gmud 2008-08-26 14:24:37 UTC
Version: 0.50.80 (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-rt

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open kwrite or something else and give it the focus
2. When getting a new message the notification of kopete pops up with a "link" to open a chat window or view the message.
3. Click on the view link
4. type something

Result:
you will type in the window which had the last focus (in this case kwrite)

Expected result:
Give the chat window the focus if the user wants to view it he/she will expect that the newly opened window has now the focus.

This maybe related to bug #158371 and bug #156318 but the fix there doesn't help here.

The notification system is new starting with KDE 4.2 Beta 1. Please retest with that version and reopen if you still have problems.

Thanks

I still have those issues here and we are close to RC1.
