Version: 2.1.0 (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-19-generic When setting web interface on port 8080 for KGet the app crashed after clicking on "OK" button though apparently setting is correctly done in window when reopening the app. Second point such option apparently is not immediately set on in the system meaning that in Konqueror it can not be activated at this stage ; may require reboot or something else but may be also linked to crash bug. In case it needs some further action (like reboot) to activate web interface right after setting has been done in KGet 2 possible options : - (1) cure the problem by adding some command to the KGet setting action, - or add message saying that this option will be only effective on next boot or other action. Regards.
Could you please attach a backtrace of the crash? You can find more information about that in this page: http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
Unfortunately the typical KDE bug window proposes this bug report on each experienced crash : (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) 0x00007f77bf539b50 in ?? () [Current thread is 0 (process 8357)] though I have installed the dbg packages on my Ubuntu distro
I cannot reproduce this bug. The backtrace does also not help. Please try to generate a usable backtrace. (please ask Ubuntu people how to do that)
This bug is most probably a duplicate of bug 168006. We cannot reproduce in crash in the webinterface part. Also, webinterface settings change are applied without restart.
