Description Y 2008-08-24 17:04:47 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Installed Kubuntu 8.04.1 from scratch. Tried to add applications using apt-get / aptitude as well as building from svn/cvs and make install. In all cases, applications that would usually show in the menus ASAP in Gnome don't show in the menu in KDE. They are available from the CLI, though. The next day the apps are available in the menus, as expected.

Expected behaviour would be for the menu entries to be updated and available right away after the sudo make install.

this is my first bug report here, and in general I am a KDE newbie. thank you for your patience and your feedback.

Seems to work in KDE 4.1.1.
