Installed from:    Compiled sources

The console is empty.

Comment 1 Ladislav Nesnera 2008-08-15 08:54:22 UTC
I tried it once more after restart. Console writes:

kontact(5461)/kmail KMFolderIndex::updateIndexStreamPtr: utime( "/home/nesnera/.kde4/share/apps/kmail/mail/.Linux.directory/.bugs.index.ids" , 0) failed (KMMsgDict::getFolderIdsLocation( *this ))
nesnera@nesnera-nb:~> QString::arg: Argument missing: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=C&q=%n,%l,%s, C
QGridLayout: Multi-cell fromRow greater than toRow
findServiceByDesktopPath: kcm_mailtransport not found

This mather is probably tied with But 169161
The Kontact works well now ;?)

Which console (ie. what do you mean) ?

When does this happen ? everytime ? just after compiling kdepim ? If so, did you run kbuildsycoca4 ?

Did you use kmail before launching kontact ? If so, can you check if there's no remaining kmail process running ?

As I wrote in Comment #1 - if I restarted my computer the Kontact works well. You can close it.

Thank you for your feedback.

Closing with WORKSFORME.
