Description Alan Prescott 2008-08-12 10:31:15 UTC
Version: 1.5.3 (using 3.5.9 "release 65.2" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.10-default

For my sins I have to develop in VBA and use a VMware Workstation to run Windoze XP with the virtual machine running in full-screen mode.

Alarm popups do not appear in the VM.

I don't know how RSIBreak does it but reminders from RSIBreak do overlay the VM so obviously it's possible.

It would be very useful if KAlarm could also do this.

Fixed for KDE 4.2, KDE 4.1.4 and KDE 3.5.11 (SVN commits 902265, 902298, 902304).

Note that alarm windows which pop up over a full screen window won't have a title bar or other decoration, due to limitations of X11.

Also note when the configuration option "Message windows have title bar and take keyboard focus" was deselected, alarm windows have always been displayed over full-screen windows.
