Description Ashish Shukla 2008-08-10 21:22:02 UTC
Version:           1.10.0 (using KDE 4.1.0)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.1) CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -fforce-addr -mtune=nocona -march=nocona -mmmx -msse2 -msse3 -ggdb"
 CXXFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -fforce-addr -mtune=nocona -march=nocona -mmmx -msse2 -msse3 -ggdb"
 LDFLAGS="-Wl,--hash-style,both"
OS:                Linux

I'm trying to configure my kmail to integrate with my existing email setup (consiting of local postfix instance, delivering mail to ~/.maildir Maildir mailbox). I attempted following steps to configure my incoming mailbox in Kmail:

1. Open 'Settings'->'Configure KMail' from KMail menubar.
2. Selected 'Accounts' tab.
3. In the 'Receiving' tab in the right hand side panel, I clicked on 'Add' button to add a new incoming account.
4. In the 'Account type' field, chose 'Maildir mailbox'. And click on OK button.
5. Now click on 'Choose...' button.
6. Select '~/.maildir' folder in the dialog box and click on OK button.
6. The combo box in front of 'Folder location' is still empty and is expected to have the folder name listed.
