Version: (using KDE 4.1.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I think this bug should have been fixed with "Bug 159862: Dolphin: paste action doesn't work with file selected." with "SVN commit 791354 by ppenz", but the behavior in my bug report is still happening in KDE 4.1's dolphin. That is, when dragging an icon with the mouse and then holding "ctrl" (little '+' appears), dropping the file inside that same directory again doesn't actually create a copy of the file. It should. If one didn't want to copy the file in the same directory, then one would just let go of 'ctrl'. thanks!
This is a duplicate of bug 164314

This bug is *NOT* a duplicate of bug 164314!! How did that happen? This one is not about a context menu, but about being able to duplicate a file with ctrl+drag on to the same directory. If I remember right, ctrl+drag on to the same directory worked in KDE v4.1.2 on Fedora 9. But now it doesn't work in Fedora 10, with KDE v4.1.3. Note that Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V in the same directory works.
@Sven: It's a duplicate to bug 164314, as the drop mechanism for the context menu and your request are located in the same code. If 164314 gets resolved, your bug is resolved too automatically. BTW: this issue did not work on KDE 4.1.x or KDE 4.0.x, it's still on my TODO list.
Sorry Syam, I've spelled your name wrong, I'm currently working on a eee-PC with very small fonts :-(
