When modifying an menu entry, the whole KDE freezes. It doesn't happen when adding a menu entry.
Or course, there's no error message.

I didn't. Konqueror 4 froze the first time so I posted a second time, thinking it didn't work. But maybe Konqueror kept tracks of my clicks when it froze...

Anyway, sorry, I'll take care about it.

Updated today (from scratch), it happened again, but this time when adding a menu entry too.

I can confirm this problem on Kubuntu 9.04 Alpha 6 with KDE 4.2.

Does the whole KDE session freeze or you can still launch some application? Depending on this I can give you some steps to get more information about the freeze itself. Thanks

My system no longer hangs up when i use Kmenuedit to modify Menu entry after several upgrades, so i think it may be a distro specified problem.

But when i was having this problem, i think that KDE itself didn't hang up but Plasma did.
