I can reproduce this with some icons (mostly non-Oxygen icons, may be related to some format issue (non-svg) ). They are bigger than its rectangle and overlap the text description. Also, the text is always cropped!
Created attachment 26884 [details] Icons I forgot to say that I'm using Version 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.0 (4.1 >= 20080722)) (KDEmod) in ArchLinux i686
I can also reproduce this in KDE SVN rev.849057
bug 174440 is a duplicate of this. Also, I've discovered that Oxygen icons' text are also cropped when selecting an icon for a folder in the Places panel on Dolphin. If you select an icon for a folder from the Dolphin main view (icon view, maybe details and column view too) , the Oxygen icons'text are displayed OK (however the other iconsets'text (like some CrystalSVG) are cropped) like I described in comment 2) May this be related to icon cache or icon size?
