Description Kelly Tackert 2008-08-03 03:50:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.5)
OS: Linux

I go to K >Favorites >Dolphin file manager > and click on my shared folder on the left under Places. Then I am prompted to put in my user name and password and when i try to nothing happens. I did this about 6 times then i get a message at the bottom of the screen that says there is an internal error please report this bug.

I really need this fixed so i can get to my shared drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the report. Could you please let us know what kind of shared folder you use? Is it a Samba share? It would be helpful if you switch the location bar to the editable mode an attach the used URL to this bug report.

The folder type is Samba share folder. I do not know how to do the second
part but if you could send me instructions I can send what you need.

Also this was this message was after the URL to report the bug. I am sorry I
did not see this before.
The message reads:
Unknown error condition in stat: Resource temporarily unavailable.

Reassigned to kdelibs (SMB IO slave) - I could not reproduce this issue on my Samba share.

Can you still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE (4.1.3 / 4.2beta2 / 4.2svn) ? Thanks :)
