Installed from:    Fedora RPMs

When I re-sized the image preview panel, the panel with the file detailed disappeared. I didn't success to restore until restart.

I think this problem is fixed in KDE4 with your Sidebar patch about size management...

Yes probably. You can still hide the panel by resizing it, but that is intended of course, and you can get it back by click on the tab. This report is not very precise.
