Description Eduard Sukharev 2008-07-30 19:05:05 UTC
Version: 0.1.0 (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), MS Visual Studio 2005 SP1)
Compiler: cl.exe
OS: Microsoft Windows (i686) release 5.1 (XP Professional)

Okteta's window is too tall on Windows XP with 1280x960 screen resolution. It's hard to see wether it's the end of the window, or are there any other usefull widgets hidden by the panel/screen edge.

Thanks for the report. I fixed this problem for Linux just before the 4.1.0 release, but perhaps that fix does not work on Windows? Could you perhaps try if Krita (from KOffice) has the same problem on Windows? Because that is where I borrowed the fix from.
Then, this bug is just important for the first start (and impression :( ) You can close or arrange the tools as you like (also stack them to a tabbed view, just drag on over the other and see), then resize the full window to your needs. The last arrangement will be restored on the next start.

Just saw a Okteta built on Windows, and it behaves as on Linux (and OS X), most tools in a tabbed state and window small enough on default. So closing this report as works-for-me.

So you perhaps have an old config file around, search for share/config/oktetarc in your user KDE config directory and remove the whole group [MainWindow], so it uses the default values there.

Does that work for you?
