Description James Richard Tyrer 2008-07-25 22:27:53 UTC
Version: 4.1.1 (using KDE 4.0.98)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 4.2.4
OS: Linux

I started with Main ToolBar and Extra ToolBar on the left with Icons Only and Icon Size=Small(16x16).

I added two buttons to the Main ToolBar.

The Orientation of the Main ToolBar changed to Top & Icon Size changed to Default. Extra ToolBar went back to Hidden.

When I again selected the Extra ToolBar, the Orientation was back to Top, Text Position was back to Text Under Icons, and Icon Size also was back to default.

I checked and these are the global default settings.

I am also somewhat puzzled at the default for the Extra ToolBar for Text Position.

I can confirm this. Using ArchLinux KDEmod 4.1.00.

Reproduce by:
- Hide the Bookmark toolbar
- Set "Icon only" on Main toolbar
- Configure toolbar -> remove "Location" label on the Location toolbar
- Apply:

Bad behaviour:
- Reverted to defaults
- Main toolbar again with Text below
- Bookmark toolbar appears

Expected behaviour:
- nothing changes except the removal of the Location label in Location toolbar.

Tested using defaults on a clear account.

A lot of toolbar bugs have been fixed in KDE4.2svn.

Can anyone else reproduce this bug in current KDE4.2 builds (4.2beta2 / 4.2svn).
Thanks :)

There hasn't been any activity on this issue for some time. Please check if this issue is still valid for Konqueror 4.8.4 or later.

This happened again recently with the 4.8 branch. I am not certain if it was 4.8.3 or 4.8.4
