Version: 0.7.0 (using 3.5.9, compiled sources) Compiler: Target: i586-manbo-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24.5-desktop586-2mnb I used Showfoto to open a file on a windows network share mounted with CIFS. The share is available for read/write for me, and every other program works fine with it. When I try to save a modified version of my picture, it comes back with a dialog saying: <Failed to save file "oldfile" to "newfile"> When trying to do a Save As, at a different location, but still on the CIFS share, it says: <Failed to overwrite original file> Conversion to other file format didn't make any difference, and the same thing happens with both PNG and JPEG files that I opened. Everything works well when saving or saving as to a local folder, or an ntfs-3g mounted partition. The line of the CIFS partition from /etc/mtab: //PAFS3/SteaneGroup /mnt/SteaneGroup cifs rw,mand 0 0 I'm using Mandriva 2008.1, the windows share is on a Windows Server 2003 RC2 3790 Service Pack 2.
