Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: kde-nightly OS: Linux I like the way how apps minimize in osx and i like to have the same effect in kde4.2 The effect is called Magic Lamp i believe.
SVN commit 841030 by graesslin: New Magic Lamp minimize effect. FEATURE: 167387 M +2 -0 CMakeLists.txt A magiclamp.cpp [License: GPL (v2+)] A magiclamp.desktop A magiclamp.h [License: GPL (v2+)] WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=841030
Its nice its in the trunk but it does not minimize like the magic lamp in osx does. When i have magic lamp effect on it minimize indeed like magic lamp but its not good you see aan reflecting of the minized window for like a sec or half.
I do not have Mac OS X and Apple's code is not open so I can't implement the effect exactly the same as Apple did. Btw I don't think we even should copy the effect. It is in my opinion quite ok to have the effect a little bit different. I know there is some conflict with shadow effect. But I have not yet noticed any other glitches.
